Auckland is one the biggest cities in New Zealand. They have many parks and mountains you can visit in the city and there's also a few islands that you can ride a short ferry to before going to the harbor. In my visit to Auckland, I stayed on Queens Street. There are no queens on Queens Street but it is the Main Road in the city with lots of shops in and around it. When I go out during the day, I just keep walking around until I find something nice to do. I went to the art gallery and saw many different paintings by New Zealand people. I went on a harbor cruise and it showed me Rangitoto Island and Waiheke Island. Rangitoto Island is a new island that is only 600 years old. It was made when a volcano erupted and the lava mixed with the water around it. This made the lava turn into land. When I went to Waiheke, it was a big island with many wineries (places where they make wine) and beaches to go. I rode a bus going around the whole island and my tour guide, Horst, showed us where all the beaches were and how many people lived there.
I ate in a cafe by the beach where I had fish and chips and cake!
